Responsible for the operation of the pools (2) and the canoe pond - must have current certifications (First Aid, CPR, Bronze Cross, NLS, Instructors) |
Counsellor-in-Training Director (1) |
Responsible for the design and implementation of the Counsellor in Training program (15 year old campers). |
Leader-in-Training Director (1) |
Responsible for the design and implementation of the Leader in Training program (14 year old campers). |
| Program Staff Positions |
| Aquatic Staff (10) |
Responsible for lifeguarding and teaching Red Cross Swim Kids lessons daily to campers aged 3 1/2 - 15 years (includes campers with Special Needs). Applicants must have current qualifications in First Aid, CPR, Bronze Cross, NLS and Red Cross Instructors. |
Arts & Crafts Instructors (2) |
Responsible for designing and implementing an Arts & Crafts program twice weekly for campers aged 3 1/2 - 13 years |
Bikes Instructor (1) |
Responsible for designing and implementing a Biking program twice weekly for campers aged 9 - 13 years. Also responsible for maintaining Bikes safety and maintenance. |
Climbing Instructor (3) |
Responsible for designing and implementing a Climbing/Bouldering program twice weekly for campers aged 3 1/2 - 15 years. Must be willing to be trained in Climbing Gym safety/procedures, as well as a Belaying course. |
Music Instructor (1) |
Responsible for designing and teaching a weekly music/drama program for campers aged 3 1/2 to 9. Lessons should be interactive and allow children to make use of instruments and equipment to allow campers to participate. |
Nature Instructor (2) |
Responsible for designing and implementing a Nature program once a week for campers aged 3 1/2 to 13 years |
| Peace Instructor (2) |
Responsible for designing and implementing a Peace (anti-bullying) program twice weekly for campers aged 3 1/2 - 15 years. Applicants displaying an enthusiasm for peace making and non-violence will be given preference. |
Sports Instructor (2) |
Responsible for designing and implementing a twice weekly sports program for campers aged 3 1/2 to 13. Program should vary in activities as well as be appropriate for a variety of ages and abilities. |
| Counsellor Positions |
Primary Division (20) |
Responsible for the care of campers aged 3 1/2 - 5 years. Counsellors with this age division must be caring and able to assist campers to overcome different issues. |
Junior Division (16) |
Responsible for the care of campers aged 6 - 7 years. Counsellors with this age division should display a great deal of enthusiasm as well as compassion in dealing with different situations. |
Intermediate Division (15) |
Responsible for the care of campers aged 8 - 9 years. Counsellors with this age division should display a great deal of enthusiasm and the ability to be consistent in dealing with different situations. |
Sophomore Counsellors (12) |
Responsible for the care of campers aged 10 - 11 years. Counsellors with this age division should display a great deal of enthusiasm and the ability to be consistent in dealing with different situations. |
Senior Division (4) |
Responsible for the care of campers aged 12 - 13 years. Counsellors with this age division should display a great deal of enthusiasm, plus the ability to be consistent and compassionate in dealing with different situations relating to growing up. |
Special Needs Counsellors (9) |
Responsible for integrating 2 campers with special needs into a group of their peers. Campers in this program are between the ages of 5 and 13 years. Campers involved in our program have needs related to Autism, Down's Syndrome, Attention Deficit Disorder, Asperger's Syndrome and behavioural difficulties. Counsellors interested in applying for these positions should have previous experience working with children and a desire to pursue Special Needs education in the future. |
Unbound Facilitators (3) |
Responsible for being a life coach for a group of youth and young adults, aged 14 to 25 years old, with needs ranging from Down's Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy, to anything in the Autism spectrum. Among other related tasks, facilitators will help to create and implement adapted social development programs in large group settings as well as individual communication and personal growth programs |
